Thank you
Two simple words, placed next to each other.
In marriage, I have learned that these two words mean almost as much as "I love you". It shows gratitude to your spouse. It shows attention to the small day to day tasks that have become almost instinctively repetitive.
Appreciation for the small things that Collin does help open my eyes to the work and effort he puts into building our home and our family. I have to admit, I overlook at the amazing husband he is sometimes and focus on what he is not doing. But, every small thing he does is his act of loving. Marriage is endless opportunities to practice loving. I don't ever want to take our relationship for granted, I want to give effort in praising the good tasks or small gestures he has done to show me love in the smallest of ways.
So say thank you more often, you'll be surprised at how often you say it.
